Burnaby Golf Courses Getting DSG Global's GPS Cart Technology

A week after the U.S. government ordered some single-rider golf carts for Camp Walker in Korea, DSG Global (OTCPK:DSGT) said that it entered an agreement to install its DSG Tag/Text System on the other side of the wold at two 18-hole golf courses in Burnaby, British Columbia. The systems serve multiple functions, including providing golfers with critical information about the course, in addition to serving as a communication system between course management and players.

Installation of the systems at the courses, Riverway and Burnaby Mountain, is slated to begin this month. Once installed, golfers will be able to see accurate distances to the green, order food and beverages from their cart, use an interactive scorecard, see vivid displays of the hole they're playing, get pro tips and much more. For the city, the systems help with course management, including monitoring play pace, location and delivering an overall better golfing experience for guests.

"As the products continue to attract global attention, DSG is currently experiencing a high demand for these effective course management products. We are in the process of signing multiple new installations at various golf courses and having a record breaking summer season,” said Patrick Parenti, Senior VP of Sales for DSG Global, in today's news release.

Currently, the Surrey, British Columbia-based company has its technology installed in more than 15,000 vehicles on more than 250 golf courses worldwide.

Shares of DSGT have edged up 5.3% to $0.002 in early trading Monday morning following the news of the new sales. The gain equates to a market capitalization of $3.3 million for the company, according to data from Quote Media.
