Toronto-based Gratomic Inc. (TSX-Venture:GRAT) came out with exciting news Tuesday. The advanced materials development company announced positive results from extensive testing of its grapheme-enhanced tires, versus globally recognized, premium-brand tires.
GRAT harbours the opinion these results represent a breakthrough in tire technology that warrants deployment into the global tire market.
The 18-month development program included a six-month terrain test in which graphemes-enhanced tires and premium tires from a globally recognized 'household name' brand were fitted to high mileage, commercial light vehicles, which primarily traveled on A and B roads within the U.K. Performance of the tires was data logged throughout the entire test period.
Shares gained half a cent, or 33.3%, to two cents, on volume topping 2.4 million shares.
