Activision Blizzard, Inc. (NASDAQ:ATVI) reported better-than-expected earnings for its fourth quarter and the full year of 2019.
The company, out of Santa Monica, Calif., reported Thursday, For the year ended December 31, 2019, Activision Blizzard’s net revenues presented in accordance with GAAP were $6.49 billion, as compared with $7.50 billion for 2018. GAAP net revenues from digital channels were $4.93 billion. GAAP operating margin was 25%.
For the quarter ended December 31, 2019, Activision Blizzard’s net revenues presented in accordance with GAAP were $1.99 billion, as compared with $2.38 billion for the fourth quarter of 2018. GAAP net revenues from digital channels were $1.44 billion.
GAAP operating margin was 23%. GAAP earnings per diluted share were $0.68, as compared with $0.89 for the fourth quarter of 2018. On a non-GAAP basis, Activision Blizzard’s operating margin was 30% and earnings per diluted share were $0.62, as compared with $0.90 for the fourth quarter of 2018.
