Inovio Stock Surges With Human Trails Set to Begin in April

All the way back in late January, I’d discussed several biotech stocks that had a chance to erupt as each was connected to research into a COVID-19 coronavirus vaccine. There has been significant progress since then, and the pressure to produce a vaccine has increased as the virus is spreading through North America and Europe.

Inovio Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ:INO) stock shot up 69.7% in trading on March 3. Shares are now up 125% in 2020 so far. The company recently announced that it was accelerating the timeline for the development of a COVID-19 vaccine.

It expects to start human trials in the United States by next month. The company’s vaccine, called INO-4800, has attracted enthusiasm over the past several weeks.

There is incredible urgency as cases have risen rapidly within the United States. In the United States, there were over 120 confirmed cases as of March 3. COVID-19 has killed nine people in Washington State.

New Hampshire, Georgia, and Virginia have all recently reported cases.
The Plymouth-based biotech has received praise from experts for its rapid response to the crisis.

A breakthrough in the coming months would be a global game-changer and would make Inovio a household name overnight. Speculating on the development of this vaccine is a risky venture, but Inovio has demonstrated impressive progress so far. Investors who want to bet on its success may want to consider buying into this surge.
