There is a lot of excitement on the markets Wednesday, all over North America, it seems, as the smallest hint that this horrific coronavirus can be treated gave equities a launch pad.
For sure, this buzz is taking place in the gold sector, where Vancouver-based Rockridge Resources Ltd. (TSX-Venture:ROCK) proclaimed to investors it had completed nine diamond drill holes in a 2,070-metre diamond drilling program at its Raney Gold Project located southwest of Timmins, Ontario.
ROCK could barely contained its excitement on reporting that assays have been received for the first six holes, with a highlight intercept of 28.0 g/t gold over six metres.
Raney Gold Project is a large prospective gold property covering 1,417 hectares. Said CEO Grant Ewing, “The Raney drilling program was completed in a very timely and cost-effective manner. The high grade intercept in hole six is highly encouraging, as is the fact that the broad alteration zone where the current drilling program was concentrated may extend for several hundred metres.”
If that alone doesn’t excite you, consider this: Rockridge shares entered noon hour up three cents, or a whopping 21.4%, to 17 cents, on volume of 2.7 million shares.
