Ximen Mining Scores on B.C. Project

When it appears as though markets are selling off to extremes, what a breath of fresh air it must have been a rough Thursday to hear tidings about a gold company climbing the charts.

Vancouver-based Ximen Mining Corp. (TSX-Venture:XIM) exulted to investors about on progress at the Kenville Gold Mine project in the Nelson mining camp in southern B.C.

XIM reported work on the 257 portal continues with excavation of the Portal completed, and that the fabrication of new steel sets that will be installed underground prior to placement of the new steel culvert outside of the underground workings. “When everything is installed,” read Thursday’s news release, “we will be ready to start breaking rock.”

The Company received written notice from the regulators identifying items required for the Environmental Management Act Waste Discharge Application for the Kenville Mine Site Advanced Exploration Project.

XIM just needs to furnish other information, including a Technical Assessment Report summarizing environmental aspects, public notification, and engagement with selected First Nations groups.

XIM shares tacked on three cents, or 5.4%, to 59 cents Thursday, on volume of 73,000 shares.
