A leading provider of travel and vacation rental booking technology has announced the completion of an acquisition of a 33% stake in Axion Ventures, Inc. (TSX-V:AXV). The acquisition target is an AAA game development studio and game publisher, formerly known as Epic Games China.
Monaker Group, Inc. (NASDAQ:MKGI) made the acquisition in conjunction with the previously announced planned acquisition of HotPlay Enterprise, a next generation in-game advertising company that leverages proprietary Artificial Intelligence to reach, engage and convert gamers by seamlessly integrating native ads and non-intrusive digital coupons, according to the release.
Traders seemed to be thrilled with the news, as shares traded up to $2.35/share (+2.17%) in early trade. This move comes just weeks after the stock found support near its 52-week low.
