Yahoo Inc reported a slight uptick in net revenue in the third quarter, the struggling Internet company's first three months under new Chief Executive Marissa Mayer.
Yahoo shares were up 3% at $16.25 U.S. in after hours trading on Monday.
Excluding a $2.8-billion U.S. gain related to the sale of Alibaba Group shares, Yahoo said it earned $177 million U.S. in income from operations and adjusted net earnings of 35 cents U.S. per share.
Net revenue, which excludes fees paid to partner websites, was $1.09 billion U.S. compared with $1.07 billion U.S. in the year-ago period.
