Tesla Sold More Than 52,000 China-Made Electric Vehicles In November

Electric vehicle maker Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA) sold 52,859 China-made vehicles in November, including 21,127 for export, according to the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA).

Tesla, which is making Model 3 sedans and Model Y sport utility vehicles (SUVs) in Shanghai, sold 54,391 China-made vehicles in October, including 40,666 that were exported.

Domestic Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer Nio (NYSE:NIO) sold 10,878 cars last month, a monthly record for that company, while Xpeng (NYSE:XPEV) delivered 15,613 vehicles. German-based Volkswagen AG (OTC:VLKAF) sold more than 14,000 of its ID electric vehicles within China.

Overall, the CPCA said that Chinese passenger car sales in November reached 1.85 million, down 12.5% from a year earlier.
