U.S. automaker Tesla (TSLA) has released an updated version of its Model Y electric vehicle in China that includes changes to both the vehicle's exterior and interior.
The biggest change to the Chinese edition of the Model Y is a new steering wheel design, according to the company.
Tesla said that it’s maintaining the current starting price on the Model Y in China at the equivalent of $36,146 U.S.
The changes to the Model Y in China come weeks after Tesla unveiled a new Model 3 electric vehicle with a longer driving range for the Chinese market.
The Model Y is Tesla’s best-selling electric vehicle worldwide. The company has been revamping its vehicle line-up and offering incentives to consumers as it tries to boost sales.
Tesla’s stock has gained 3% over the last 12 months to trade at $250 U.S. per share.
