E-commerce giant Amazon (AMZN) says it is grappling with more service disruptions in the Middle East due to the ongoing war with Iran.
Specifically, Amazon reports that its cloud computing operations in Bahrain have been disrupted by the battle between the U.S. and Israel with Iran.
“We are working closely with local authorities and prioritizing the safety of our personnel throughout our recovery efforts,” said Amazon in a written statement.
Amazon Web Services (AWS), the cloud division, has advised customers to migrate their applications to alternate regions outside the Middle East as it experiences interruptions.
Amazon has reported multiple service disruptions since the Iran war broke out on Feb. 28.
In the United Arab Emirates (UAE), two Amazon facilities have been struck by drones. In Bahrain, a drone strike landed in close proximity to an Amazon facility.
The AWS issues are leading to outages of apps and digital services at various times for Amazon.
Iran continues to launch missiles and drones at its neighbors as part of its retaliation against Israel and the U.S., including targeting data centres and other technology facilities.
AMZN stock has risen 3% in the last 12 months to trade at $210.25 U.S. per share.
