PepsiCo (PEP) ekes up on Q1 profit

PepsiCo. Inc. (NYSE: PEP) shares rose 0.8% to $85.48. The food company said Thursday its first-quarter profit rose 13% to $1.22 billion, or 79 cents a share, from $1.08 billion, or 69 cents a share, in the year-ago period.
