Citigroup Inc. (NYSE: C) shares eked up 0.3% to $53.31. The lender cut its third-quarter earnings to $2.84 billion, or 88 cents a share, from the previously-reported $3.44 billion, $1.07 a share, to reflect a $600-million increase in legal expenses.
