Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen Inc. (NASDAQ: PLKI) shares fell 0.2% to $57.93. The restaurant chain late Wednesday said its first-quarter profit rose to $13.6 million, or 58 cents a share, from $11.1 million, or 46 cents a share, a year earlier. Revenue increased 13% to $79.5 million as sales at established restaurants rose 7%. Analysts surveyed by Thomson Reuters had projected a profit of 54 cents a share on $81.4 million in revenue.
