Cash registers started clanging again in September in this country, after four stagnant months.
Figures released by Statistics Canada Tuesday revealed that Canadian retail sales in September increased by 0.6% from August to $44.4 billion on the strength of higher sales at motor vehicle and parts dealers.
The agency also says sales were up in seven of 11 sub-sectors, representing 65% of retail trade. In volume terms, retail sales increased by 0.6%
