Figures released Friday morning by Statistics Canada showed more Canadians started jobs last month.
The economy reportedly added another 15,000 jobs in February, pushing the unemployment rate down to 6.6%
The agency said an increase in the number of people working full-time offset a decline in the number of people working part-time. In the past 12 months as a whole, February's total means Canada has cranked out 288,000 jobs in the past year.
The figures of 6.6% for the jobless rate ties its lowest level in almost a decade.
By province, British Columbia, Saskatchewan and Manitoba added jobs, while there were fewer folks working in Nova Scotia and in Newfoundland and Labrador
