Canadian Electric Vehicle Unveiled At Consumer Electronics Show

A Canadian electric vehicle concept car has been introduced at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Called “Project Arrow,” the electric vehicle prototype is being developed by the Automotive Parts Manufacturers’ Association (APMA) of Canada.

The APMA said the car will be designed, engineered, and built entirely within Canada as the country aims to reduce carbon dioxide emissions and transition its automotive sector away from fossil fuels.

More than 50 Canadian industry partners are involved in the electric vehicle project, including companies that worked on elements such as battery production.

Project Arrow began as a design contest in 2020 and has evolved into a prototype.

The federal government in Ottawa has proposed new regulations that would require one-fifth of all cars sold in Canada be electric by 2026.
