Canada’s automotive sales rose 4.1% in November from a year ago, according to the latest data from DesRosiers Automotive Consultants.
The Toronto-based consulting firm estimated that 114,966 vehicles were sold this November,up from 110,448 in November 2021.
However, sales remain below 2019 pre-pandemic levels. In November 2019, a total of 143,315 vehicles were sold across Canada, said DesRosiers Automotive Consultants.
Automotive sales in Canada year-to-date stand at 1.38 million units, making it likely that sales for all of 2022 will be below 1.5 million, the first time the market has dropped below that threshold since 2009.
