Stocks in Asia Pacific were mixed on Wednesday as oil prices continued to see weakness.
In Japan, the Nikkei 225 index dropped 142.83 points, or 0.7%, to 19,137.95. The Japanese yen traded at 107.59 per U.S. dollar after touching an earlier low of 107.86.
In Hong Kong, the Hang Seng index pointed higher 99.81 points, or 0.4%, to 23,893.36.
The Australian dollar changed hands at $0.6331 following a decline from levels above $0.635 seen earlier this week.

In Shanghai, the CSI 300 recovered 31.33 points, or 0.8%, to 3,839.38
In Korea, the Kospi index gained 16.77 points, or 0.9%, to 1,896.15.
In Taiwan, the Taiex Index moved up 19.32 points, or 0.2%, to 10,307.74
In Singapore, the Straits Times Index lost 1.88 points, or 0.1%, to 2,550.04.
In Australia, the ASX 200 dished off 0.05 points to 5,221.25.
In New Zealand, the NZX 50 dumped 118.20 points, or 1.1%, to 10,417.67.
