In Korea, the Kospi index sprang 234.3 points, or 3.6%, to 6,813.34
In Singapore, the Straits Times index slipped 0.7 points to5,720.05.
In Taiwan, the Taiex index hiked 503.41 points, or 1.1%, to 46,021.48.
In New Zealand, the NZX 50 prospered 87.64 points, or 0.6%, to 13,825.30
In Australia, the ASX waned 20.88 points, or 0.2%, to 9,188.49.
