In Korea, the Kospi Index gave up 17.72 points, or 0.3%, to 7,033.92
In Singapore, the Straits Times index dipped 39.88 points, or 0.7%, to 5,680.75.
In Taiwan, the Taiex index dumped 242.87 points, or 0.5%, to 46,940.49
In New Zealand, the NZX 50 tumbled 108.42 points, or 0.8%, to 13,711.01.
In Australia, the ASX 200 lost 92.06 points, or 1%. to 8,819.36.
