The Moving Book Tells the Story about How Joe Wions is Struggling to Overcome ALS

ALS, which is also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease, is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that weakens the muscles and inhibits physical function.
While most people who are diagnosed with ALS die within 2 to 3 years, Wions is different. Abandoned by western medicine, Joe turned to alternative therapies in a quest to find effective treatments for ALS. And in doing so, he beat the odds.
"Joe's diagnosis left him with little clarity as to how to move forward," noted a spokesperson for the his new book, adding that in order to deal with his emotions during this dark period, Wions started a journal which morphed from an outlet for his despair into an inspiring journey of gratitude and love.
The result was "More Time to Love."
Through bringing this story to others, the Wions family hopes that Joe's heroic struggle will encourage those going through the same experience and open their eyes to alternatives that could possibly improve their quality of life and allow them to live longer.
"More Time to Love" tracks Joe's experimentation with various treatments while motivating and empowering other ALS patients, and anyone going through a dark and difficult period.

In order to help publicize his father's new book and share his inspiring story, Dan Wions recently launched a fundraiser on Indiegogo. There, he hopes to raise $10,000 through crowdfunding.
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the ALS Association so they may continue to help families facing ALS.
