In Hong Kong, the Hang Seng index regained 75.9 points, or 0.3%, to 23,412.18.

In Shanghai, the CSI index recovered 23.63 points, or 0.5%, to 4,943.02.
In Korea, the Kospi index resurfaced 267.18 points, or 3.3%, to 8,471.02.
In Singapore, the Straits Times 50 index captured 10.25 points, or 0.2%, to 5,215.99
The Taiex index in Taiwan dumped 1,057.05 points, or 2.2%, to 46,043.60.
In New Zealand, the NZX 50 docked 35.11 points, or 0.3%, to 13,400.66.
In Australia, the ASX regained 21.42 points, or 0.2%, to 8,808.40.
