Shares of TomaGold Corp. (TSX-Venture:LOT) are rallying today on news that their project partner IAMGOLD Corp. (TSX:IMG) provided remaining assay results from the winter 2017 drilling program completed at their Monster Lake joint venture project in Quebec, of which IAMGOLD owns 50%, with TomaGold at 45%.
IAMGOLD reported assay results from the final 14 drill holes, totaling just over 5,400 metres, from a total of 25 diamond drill holes, totaling 10,657 metres, completed this past winter. Highlights of the assay results included 80.28 g/t gold over 5.0 metres and 67.42 g/t gold over 3.5 metres.
Investors liked what they saw by sending shares of LOT higher by 28.57% to $0.09 on strong volume near the end of the trading day. Shares of IMG did not perform so well, dropping 0.97% to $6.605 on the news as the stock gets dragged down by weakness in the materials group.
