Sirois Pops on Revealing Rich Veins on Cheechoo Property

On a generally negative day on the markets, Montreal-based Sirios Resources (TSX-Venture: SOI) proudly announced assay results Wednesday for 13 drill holes totaling 4,018 metres, undertaken on the Cheechoo gold property.

To those needing exact numbers to demonstrate the richness of the veins, Sirios declared further that the company intersected 5.2 grams per tonne gold (g/t Au) over 30.2 metres, including 59.1 g/t Au over 0.8 m and 97.9 g/t Au over 0.8 m.

All the drill holes demonstrated particularly rich intersections, demonstrating the extent of the gold mineralization in the Main Area. The 13 drill holes are part of the larger drill program that will complete the 50 m-drill hole grid pattern of the Main Area, where the current dimensions are approximately 500 m by 500 m. As well, what are called pluri-metric high-grade gold intersections are continuously being intersected within the halo, indicating this is not a one-off type of deal.

Shares in Sirios acquired a penny, or 5.9%, to 18 cents, Wednesday on volume of more than 145,000 shares.
