Canadian Transactions in International Securities (Nov.) Foreign acquisitions of Canadian securities amounted to $15.8 billion in October, mainly Canadian corporate debt securities. At the same time, Canadian investors added $2.1 billion of foreign securities to their holdings, led by acquisitions of U.S. corporate instruments.

Consumer Price Index (Dec.) CPI rose 1.2% on a year-over-year basis in November, following a 1.5% increase in October. On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, the CPI was down 0.2% in November, after increasing 0.2% in October.

Retail Sales (Nov.) Retail sales rose for the third consecutive month, rising 1.1% to $45.0 billion in October.
