Amazon To Hold Prime Sales Event In October

E-commerce giant Amazon (AMZN) has announced that it will hold a second Prime sales event in
October.

From October 11 to 12, Amazon Prime members will have access to discounted items though the
company’s “Prime Early Access Sale.” It follows Amazon's annual “Prime Day” event that was held in
July.

Analysts say that Amazon is offering holiday deals earlier this year to attract consumers who are
struggling with inflation and constrained budgets.

Seattle-based Amazon has long used sales events to attract customers, boost sales, and sell Prime
memberships.

However, this is the first time that Amazon has held two sales events in one year and comes as the
company’s retail business had slowed in recent months.

Amazon isn’t alone in holding sales events this fall. Last week, retailer Target (TGT) said that it would
begin offering holiday deals in October.

Amazon’s stock is down 32% this year and trading at $115.15 U.S. per share.
