BlackBerry’s Financial Results Top Analyst Forecasts

Canada’s BlackBerry (BB) has reported fiscal second-quarter financial results that beat the consensus forecast of analysts.

The Waterloo, Ontario-based company announced earnings per share (EPS) of $0.02 U.S., which topped expectations for a flat profit of $0.00 U.S.

The company, which reports its finances in U.S. dollars and is today primarily a cybersecurity software firm, announced revenues of $129.6 million U.S.

The sales figure also beat Wall Street forecasts that called for $122.03 million U.S. However, revenue was down 10% from a year earlier.

In terms of guidance, BlackBerry said that it expects earnings of $0.02 U.S. to $0.04 U.S. and
revenue in a range of $132 million U.S. to $140 million U.S. for the current quarter.

BlackBerry said that it also expects full-year earnings of $0.11 U.S. to $0.15 U.S. per share, with revenue ranging from $519 million U.S. to $541 million U.S.

BB stock was up 3% on news of the company's latest print. So far in 2025, the stock has risen 12% to trade at $4.27 U.S. a share in New York.
