Valmont Industries, Inc. (NYSE: VMI) shares enjoyed strong gains Monday. The company, a global leader that provides products and solutions to support vital infrastructure and advance agricultural productivity, today announced William “Eric” Johnson will join the company as Chief Accounting Officer today. Johnson will be an integral leader on the finance team overseeing the Company’s accounting and SEC reporting functions, and reporting directly to Tom Liguori, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.
Prior to joining Valmont, Johnson served as Senior Vice President, Corporate Controller, and Principal Accounting Officer at Conagra Brands, Inc. (NYSE: CAG), a leading $12-billion food and beverage company. Before that, he was Director of Internal Audit at Kiewit Corporation, a major construction and engineering firm. Johnson began his career at KPMG, where he spent more than 12 years in roles of increasing responsibility, including international audit experience in Europe and with global clients. He holds a Masters in Accountancy from the University of Missouri and is a Certified Public Accountant.

VMI shares bounced $3.83, or 1%, to $408.29.
