Peeks Records 30 Million Screen Views, Names Marketing Guru to Advisory Team

In the digital world, it's all about content and views, namely for the purpose of advertising to targeted audiences. Face it, busy websites and apps, unless they are purely for the owner's entertainment value, are worthless unless they are monetized...and that means ads and visitors in some shape or form.

Toronto-based Peeks Social Ltd. (TSX-V:PEEK)(OTCQB:PKSLF) is, in its own words, "the world's first e-commerce enabled live streaming platform that allows users to interact and transact in real time with real cash."

With a tap of the screen, users can send broadcasters "tips" to show their appreciation for the efforts. Furthermore, in order to access certain content, broadcasters can require a "tip" in order to see what's going on beind the paywall.

With higher earnings, broadcasters can climb the Peeks' status bar to levels like "celebrity" and "superstar."

Shares are up in trading on Thursday following the company saying that the Peeks Social Media app reached 30 million screen views, the mobile equivalent to a website's page view, during the month of August.

Peeks also said that Rick Padulo has joined the company's advisory board. A published author on retail, owner of one of Canada's "Top 50 Best Managed Private Companies" and accomplished marketer with a host of awards to his name, such as Entrepreneur of the Year, Marketer of the Year and member of the American Marketing Association's Marketing Hall of Legends, Padulo will be sharing his wisdom on multiple topics, including organizing the ad sales division.

Expressing his belief that Peeks is disrupting the marketplace with the most advanced and effective digital advertising, Padulo advises that if your media department isn't looking at Peeks, you'd better ask "Why the hell not?"

In that lane, Peeks says it will be releasing new sales and advertising services in the upcoming weeks. These will be comprised of the Peeks Ad Share Network, the Peeks Get Popular Service and a new iteration of its OfferBox, all of which will provide the opportunity for more ad impressions per screen.

Earlier this month, Peeks said it recently clocked in as the 15th top grossing social app on the Google Play Store. Investors will want to see how this translates to the books, considering the company logged only $103,144 in revenue during the quarter ended May 31, 2017. In fairness, that was up from $25,901 in the year-prior quarter.

With about an hour left in Thursday's trading session, Toronto-listed shares of PEEK have edged ahead 2.0% to $0.51 after printing as high as 56 cents earlier in the day.
