After a day of electric gains on exchanges on both sides of the border, it was inevitable some reality had to set in on Thursday. Even so, there were glimmers of prosperity amid all the gloom.
Toronto-based African Gold Group, Inc. (TSX-Venture:AGG) was out on the last day of April with exciting prospecting and rock sampling results from a new shear zone on its fully permitted Kobada Gold Project located in southern Mali. Highlights include rock sample results from the previously untested Gosso target, four kilometres to the East of the main Kobada Shear zone, at which all prior exploration of the Company has been targeted.
One sample returned 1.10 g/t Au within a grab sample of 2.15 Kilograms. Another returned 3.16 g/t Au within a grab sample of 3.02 Kg.
Over the last year, AGG has completed a drilling campaign totaling 11,428 metres within the Kobada concession area.
Shares jumped 4.5 cents, or 16.7%, to 31.5 cents, on volume of 409,000
