Another Driver of Growth Makes Microsoft A Buy

The bullish thesis for owning Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) stock is strong, and any investor can point to multiple long-term growth drivers to support such a thesis. From the company's traditional software business which holds absolutely incredible market share and is an enviable cash cow, and the long term growth upside of Microsoft's cloud business, there is a lot to like for investors seeking safety and growth in this uncertain stock market today.

In this article, I'm going to focus on why Microsoft may be a great buy as a beneficiary of the COVID-19 pandemic, as one of those few rare companies that will not only survive this global economic recession, but come out the other side stronger and more profitable than ever. I'm referring to the strength of Microsoft's Teams platform as well as its Skype business, two meeting tools that have become indispensable tools for personal and business use during this pandemic, becoming key platforms for connection for many who may not have actively used such platforms in the past.

Microsoft has impressively reported increase in the number of the company’s Teams’ users of more than 100% this past quarter (from roughly 20 million users to approximately 44 million users). This jump underscores an important reality for investors- Microsoft has become ubiquitous and is now widely considered to be the backbone of key infrastructure for the global economy to effectively function.

I've liked Microsoft’s business model for a long time, and this crisis has underscored the company's value to investors, highlighting why Microsoft is one of the fast growth companies for investors to buy and hold forever, in my view.

Invest wisely, my friends.
