Canadian international merchandise trade (Dec.) Canada's merchandise trade deficit with the world totaled $2.5 billion in November, widening from a $1.6 billion deficit in October. Imports were up 5.8% and exports rose 3.7%, both due largely to increased activity in the automotive industry.
